About
We see a world where many Americans live in self-reinforcing bubbles with little access to different viewpoints. Even worse, there are few forums for respectful conversations between people with different views.
We exist to address these barriers – to create a world where talking to someone with different beliefs is valued. We do this by connecting two people with different views, except we don't tell them their differences. This ambiguity leads to conversations focused on listening and learning, not telling and convincing.
We aim to strengthen America by finding a new way forward – one that rewards behaviors we value. In the American system, talking to the people we disagree with rests at the core of what we value.
We’re a team of volunteers that believes our future depends on working together. We believe talking to people with different views is valuable and necessary. And we believe Americans have more in common than they think. We hold diverse individual beliefs, but we are grateful to live in America, and we believe that a strong America is our best hope for a successful future.
